Dr. Zahra Hussain

Dr Zahra Hussain is a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry and an Honorary Clinical Lecturer in Periodontology at Eastman Dental Hospital. She currently sees patients at Perfect Smile Dental Bracknell - Market Street.

Dr Hussain is specialised in Periodontology, Prosthodontics, Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry, recognised by the General Dental Council. She completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at King's College London in 2004 and later completed her membership exams for the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2006.

After qualifying she began to work as a General Dentist, working her way up to Senior House Officer posts in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry. In 2010, she completed her Master's degree in Conservative Dentistry at Eastman Dental Hospital. She also completed the 5-year specialist training programme in Restorative Dentistry recognised by the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2013.

As a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry specialised in periodontics, Dr Hussain sees patients with complex periodontal conditions and who require complex restorative treatments, including:

• Surgical and non-surgical gum disease treatment
• Pre-prosthetic and aesthetic surgery (e.g. crown lengthening)
• Periodontal plastic surgery (e.g. gum grafts)
• Peri-implantitis treatment

Alongside her work with patients, Dr Hussain is actively involved with teaching, training and supervising general dental practitioners and specialists in training. She has also published papers in reputable journals in the field of dentistry.
