About Professor Colin Berry
Professor Colin Berry is a cardiologist with expertise in angina (including microvascular angina and INOCA), arrhythmias, heart failure, hypertension, palpitations, and heart disease in women.
Professor Berry holds a Chair in Cardiology and Imaging in the University of Glasgow. He is Director of Research in the Golden Jubilee National Hospital and a Consultant Cardiologist in this hospital and in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
Professor Berry is currently an Executive Editor of the European Heart Journal, Senior Consultant Editor of EuroIntervention and Editorial Board member of the Cardiovascular Research journal. He is a Past-President of the British Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and the British Society of Cardiovascular Research.

Qualifications
Professor Berry undertook undergraduate medical studies at the University of Glasgow (1987-1993) and completed an intercalated science degree (Maîtrise, Physiology) at the University of Paris (1989-1990). He was awarded a PhD at the University of Glasgow (2002) in Cardiovascular Science and his studies were supported by a prestigious Medical Research Council Clinical Training Fellowship.
Professor Berry trained in Cardiology and Internal Medicine (2001-2006) first in Glasgow and then at the Montreal Heart Institute in Quebec, Canada (2005-2006). He then worked at the National Institutes of Health in Washington DC, United States (2007-2009). He has been working as a Consultant Cardiologist in Glasgow since 2009.
Professor Berry has postgraduate qualifications in echocardiography (BSE), transoesophageal echocardiography (BSE), cardiac CT (SCCT, Level II), cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (EACVI Level III) and imaging physics (US NIH).
