Mr Mohammed Shoaib Arshad

Mr Shoaib Arshad is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Northern Care Alliance Hospitals.

He qualified in 2004 from the University of Manchester, having completed his orthopaedic training (CCT) in the North-West of England in 2016. Following this, he undertook prestigious fellowships at both Wrightington Hospital and The Pulvertaft Hand Centre.

Mr Arshad has published and presented both nationally and internationally and is involved in teaching and training of upcoming surgeons.

He currently sub-specialises in Hand & Wrist Surgery and has an interest in wrist arthroscopy and thumb CMCJ replacement.

• Hand & Wrist Surgery: Joint injections, excision of lumps and bumps (soft tissue
  biopsies, ganglions etc), nerve releases – carpal & cubital tunnel, Guyons
  canal, trigger finger/ thumb, tendon releases such as De Quervain's, ligament
  repairs such as UCL of thumb, any fractures of hand (such as scaphoid etc),
  wrist and forearm, small joint fusions and replacements of the hand,
  trapeziectomies, synovectomy, tendon repairs, nail bed injuries/
  excision of nail plates etc, wrist fusion, wrist arthroscopy, open TFCC repair,
  wrist corrective osteotomies, proximal row carpectomy, carpus fusions and management of Dupuytren's
