About Mr Mark M Yodaiken
Mr Mark Yodaiken is an experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist with over 30 years of experience in the treatment of various eye conditions. He is based in Manchester and is highly regarded in his field.
Mr Yodaiken obtained his medical degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and went on to complete specialist training in ophthalmology. He has extensive training in medical retina, with fellowships in anterior segment surgery and age-related macular degeneration. He worked as a consultant at Stepping Hill Hospital from 2002 to 2007 and is currently seeing patients privately at the Alexandra Hospital, and in his own consulting rooms.
Mr Yodaiken has a special interest in the treatment of dry eye, blepharitis, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. He is an expert in meibomian gland disease with his Dry Eyes Clinic offering multiple treatments including LipiFlow, IPL and meibomian gland probing, as well as treatment/removal of chalazion cysts.
For patients with age-related macular degeneration, Mr Yodaiken offers a holistic approach, including monitoring using OCT photography and treatment with Avastin, Lucentis, Eylea and Vabysmo injections for wet age-related macular degeneration, as well as photobiomodulation for dry age-related macular degeneration.
In glaucoma patients, he also offers laser procedures to eliminate or reduce the need for long-term topical drop administration, as well as regular monitoring.
Mr Yodaiken is a member of various esteemed ophthalmology associations, including the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
