Mr Ampat carried out a very comprehensive assessment. He then clearly explained with a diagram and some great analogies what the problem was. Being a visual learner, diagrams are always good for me and his analogy was very helpful. His interpersonal skills and professionalism are second to none. on meeting Dr ampat, i was greeted very well, i went to see him regarding my shoulder, he was excellent in his examination, he could see that i had other things going on with my body, he asked me about my previous surgery, and was very helpful and knowledgable, he suggested to me to have an x ray on my shoulder and a mri on my neck to see what is going on, it was an absolute pleasure to speak with someone who had the time to explain everything.

George Ampat - How I help patients
Hello, I’m Dr George Ampat, and I work as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in Merseyside, United Kingdom. Though I am a surgeon by training and practice, I prefer to treat patients without surgical intervention or nonoperatively as much as possible. Surgery is necessary at times but occasionally can cause complications and the outcomes may not be as desired. Unfortunately, in many situations, we do not exhaust all non-operative measures and are quick to resort to surgery or injections. I follow a holistic approach and recommend the practice of Lifestyle Medicine. This is my sub-specialism in orthopaedics. I focus on back, neck, hip, knee and foot pain and am particularly interested in older adults. I run clinics in Southport, Liverpool, Manchester and London.
