Mr Von Widekind is truly dedicated to the exceptional care of his patients and has a wealth of knowledge on endometriosis; something that’s very hard to find. He was the only specialist who listened to me and took my symptoms seriously. Amazingly, he was also the first to identify my Adenomyosis after I’d had a number of scans from other specialists. He got me in for a laparoscopy within a matter of weeks and I genuinely felt I was in more than capable hands. I woke up to the validation I had been denied for almost a year by other doctors and was talked through all the findings in detail. The aftercare has been just as wonderful. I’m incredibly grateful to Mr Von Widekind for his care, his expertise, and his dedication to improving women’s health. He’s always made me feel comfortable and talked to me as an equal. I couldn’t recommend him anymore highly. And a huge thank you to his amazing secretary, Sue Harrison. Thank you for organising appointments and maintaining clear communication throughout the process! I feel incredibly fortunate to have met Dr. Widekind. After years of unclear diagnoses through the NHS, I finally received a clear diagnosis and was offered a range of treatment options—all in just one appointment. I chose to proceed with surgery for adenomyosis and endometriosis, and from that very first visit, I would confidently rate my experience as five stars. Dr. Widekind is not only knowledgeable but also kind and genuinely caring.

I had a big uterus fibroid and was waiting for a surgery. I also developed an inguinal hernia unfortunately. Dr Widekind is extremely professional, kind and wants the best for his patients. He didn't stop until he could find another surgeon who could operate with him and could perform a laparoscopic surgery as well. So I didn't end up with a cut on my belly. He explained everything and was patient with me and my husband. I can only recommend him.

I had a hysterectomy at 35 Mr Von Widekind explained all my options and we decided this was the best option, he explained the procedure in detail and answered all the questions I had. On my procedure day he visited me before surgery and the after exploring how the surgery went and what he had found, I found him to be the most knowledgeable person I have yet to come across on endometriosis as he listened to all my symptoms and concerns

Dr Widekind was amazing from start to finish. He listens to you and explains every step of the journey. From my first scan to my post op check up I felt comfortable and reassured.

There is only one word to describe Mr von Widekind: outstanding. Mr von Widekind was recommended to me after a terrible experience with another gynaecologist and from the first consultation he was superb. He really is at the top of his game and is professional, caring, knowledgeable and I really felt that he understood me (I have complicated medical conditions). Also Sue (Mr von Widekind's secretary) was always on hand if needed and her professionalism was also superb. It was suggested that I see Mr Wilkinson (anaesthetist) to ensure all that everything would go smoothly when I had the LASH procedure (which he pioneered) for huge fibroids and this also made the whole process a smooth as it could be. From the initial consultation to the operation to seeing him again 6 weeks after the procedure he was superb. I simply cannot recommend him highly enough and I am extremely grateful to him for everything he has done for me.
