About Mr Charlie Talbot
Mr. Charlie Talbot graduated from the University of Leeds in the class of 2000, before entering into surgical training in the Yorkshire region. After completing a postgraduate Masters (MSc) by Research in Mechanical Engineering, in 2006, he was appointed to the Yorkshire Orthopaedics and Trauma higher surgical training programme.
Mr. Talbot quickly developed an interest in Upper Limb, Sports and Arthroscopic surgery and went on to achieve his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (Trauma and Orthopaedics) in 2010. He progressed to higher Fellowship training in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the Internationally renowned Wrightington Upper Limb unit, and trained with Professors Ian Trail, Len Funk and Adam Watts. He finished his Orthopaedic training in Leeds and was given the opportunity to further his specialist education at the Sheffield Shoulder and Elbow unit under the supervision of David Potter and David Stanley, one of the world's most experienced elbow surgeons. With the highest quality mentorship combined with his exceptional ability as a surgeon, Mr. Talbot has seen success throughout his career and is known for with excellence.
In 2012, Mr. Talbot was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in Shoulder and Elbow surgery at Harrogate District NHS Foundation Trust. He has developed a busy arthroscopic (keyhole) shoulder and elbow service, as well as providing an upper limb trauma service and a shoulder and elbow replacement practice. He practices privately in Harrogate and Leeds

I was treated for a torn rotator cuff this year by Mr. Talbot, from the initial consultation through to the aftercare. He was excellent throughout. He clearly explained my options and what the long-term outcome might look like with or without surgery. I chose to proceed with the operation and carefully followed the aftercare plan. I am very grateful for the work Mr. Talbot carried out. I now have full functionality back in my shoulder, as if I had never experienced any issues. Everything was clearly explained and well-managed throughout the process. Thank you!

I've had two operations, (both shoulders,) done by Mr Talbot, he is an amazing surgeon. Both he and his secretary Michelle are extremely competent and caring. I am extremely pleased and couldn't wish for a better treatment.

I saw Mr Talbot because I had a frozen shoulder. Mr Talbot fully explained what the problem was and how he could help. He was very courteous and put me at ease on each visit.

I was lucky enough to have surgery under Charlie’s care at The Duchy, Harrogate. Charlie is everything you want from a surgeon; informative, honest, professional & a very gifted surgeon (also devastatingly good looking, which is of course irrelevant!) I’m now a month on & unbelievably have no visible scarring & almost full range of movement (which is normal for this stage of recovery).
