Mr Georgios Kiziridis is a highly skilled Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in foot and ankle surgery, as well as lower limb reconstruction. He currently sees private patients at The Runnymede Hospital and The Princess Margaret Hospital.
Born and raised in Greece, Mr Kiziridis completed his trauma and orthopaedic training both in Greece and the UK. His training included extensive experience in general orthopaedic trauma, with a focus on major trauma during his years at two busy trauma centres in Southampton and Sheffield. He further honed his skills through two prestigious fellowships in foot and ankle surgery (Surrey) and trauma and limb reconstruction (Sheffield), gaining invaluable experience in managing complex conditions.
Mr Kiziridis was first appointed as a Consultant in August 2020 at Southend Hospital before joining Ashford & St. Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust in March 2022. He performs a wide range of foot and ankle procedures, including elective surgeries and complex trauma reconstructions, with a particular interest in treating stubborn heel pain, such as plantar fasciopathy and Achilles tendinopathy.
An active member of the General Medical Council, the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS), and the Orthopaedic Trauma Society (OTS), Mr Kiziridis is deeply committed to the education and training of medical students and junior doctors, both in the UK and internationally. His strong academic background includes numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, presentations at national and international conferences, and a PhD in Orthopaedics. He is also actively involved in research and has led several quality improvement projects.
Mr Kiziridis remains at the forefront of his field by regularly attending conferences, participating in courses, and staying updated with the latest literature to ensure his patients receive the most current and effective treatments. His expertise covers all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, from sports injuries and degenerative conditions to trauma-related injuries, including keyhole procedures of the ankle and complex trauma reconstructions.
At the renowned Rowley Bristow Unit at St Peter’s Hospital, Mr Kiziridis is a key member of the trauma rota, and his expertise is frequently sought by fellow orthopaedic consultants and specialists in other fields for both routine and complex foot and ankle cases.
Mr Kiziridis believes that "patients don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care." He is dedicated to providing personalised, patient-centred care, taking the time to explain conditions in easy-to-understand terms and emphasising collaborative decision-making in treatment plans. His goal is to deliver the highest standard of clinical care using an evidence-based approach, working holistically and in close collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for his patients.

Mr Kiziridis has been extremly helpful and thorough. He explained the xrays of my feet in some considerable depth, and advised not attempting surgery unless necessary, which I appreciated. We will try isoles, shoes and steroid injections instead for now and only surgery if completly necessary.

From the start to where i am today the guidance, expertise, and professionalism has been superb. At no point throughout have i felt unsure or unwavering on the procedure. the overall result has been brilliant and i now have the ability to walk, flatfooted for the first time in several years.

From our very first meeting, I have felt so at ease. His explanations of the procedure and the way forward were all explained to me. All follow up appointments were met with the same standards. I am very grateful to have undergone this procedure under his guidance and expertise. Should I require any further surgery/prodedure I would certainly like Dr Kiiziridis to perform them. Any patient would be lucky to have him as their surgeon.

I have been in pain with my toes for over 40 years and since my surgery to replace the joints in both of my big toes I am now pain free and walking normally .It has also relieved the pain in my left knee due to walking on the outside of my feet. I can honestly say that this has changed my life for the better and I am extremely grateful for the treatment and the professionalism of all the staff.
