Dr. Baghai-Ravary is a highly experienced Consultant Chest Physician with expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of respiratory conditions. He qualified from King’s College School of Medicine in 1996 (Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery, University of London) and has since developed subspecialty expertise in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), publishing clinical research in this field.
Since his appointment as a substantive consultant in 2009, Dr. Baghai-Ravary has been dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and developing respiratory services for his local community. He has led specialist initiatives in lung cancer diagnosis (including endobronchial ultrasound), COPD management, lung function testing, antibiotic stewardship, thrombosis prevention, pulmonary embolism care, and COVID-19 treatment protocols. He is an active member of the Thrombosis Committee and serves as a postgraduate examiner for the Royal College of Physicians, hosting local PACES examinations for doctors in training.
With extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of breathlessness, chronic cough, sleep apnoea, and other respiratory conditions, Dr. Baghai-Ravary provides a patient-centered, holistic approach to care. He has direct access to NHS secondary care assessments in East Kent, including imaging, blood tests, and medical records, ensuring continuity and comprehensive evaluation for his patients.
