Dr. Michael Burdon is a highly regarded specialist consultant in sport, exercise and musculoskeletal medicine, based in the London area. Graduating from the Royal Free Hospital, University of London in 1994, Dr. Burdon initially pursued a career as a general practitioner (GP) in a busy city practice. However, his passion for sports and exercise medicine (SEM) led him to further specialise in this field.

Over the last 9 years Dr Burdon has been working at Pure Sports Medicine and is now working full time in the Kensington clinic. He has also been an examiner on the sports medicine MSc course in Bath and more recently at QMUL, London.
Dr Burdon is a keen runner and has completed several marathons and 2 previous ultramarathons. He enjoys attending the gym also on a regular basis.

Dr Burdon is methodical, talks you through his thinking and explains his conclusions in a clear and easy to understand way. This really helped me decide which course of action to take. Dr Burdon is very responsive and goes above and beyond for his patients, including responding to queries or checking results late into the evening to pass them on asap. Would highly recommend and am very grateful.
