Mr Askari was fantastic, explained what was required and what future requirements are needed

I recently had gastric bypass surgery and during the surgery it was discovered I had a large hernia that Mr Askari also corrected for me. I can not fault any of my treatment from the very start to my current recovery.

I cannot thank Dr. Askari enough for the incredible care I received before, during, and after my gastric bypass surgery. From the very first consultation, Dr. Alan Askari took the time to explain the procedure thoroughly, answer all of my questions, and make sure I felt completely informed and comfortable. On the day of surgery, I felt reassured knowing I was in such skilled hands. The surgery went smoothly, and my recovery has been much easier than I expected thanks to Dr. Askari ’s expertise and attention to detail. What stands out most is the genuine compassion and support I’ve received throughout this entire journey — I never felt like “just another patient.” Because of Dr. Askari and their amazing team, I feel like I’ve been given a second chance at life. I am already seeing positive changes in my health and overall well-being, and I am truly grateful. I would highly recommend Dr. Askari to anyone considering bariatric surgery.

Dr Alan Askari, was highly professional in all aspects, incredibly supportive, transaprent and an absolute gentleman. I am ever so grateful, I was under his treatment, he has done the best for me given my circumstances and I cannot thank him enough. What a very refreshing visit for a hospital appointment . From the wonderful greeting from the receptionist when booking in ,to the very friendly professional and informative nurse who did my height and weight check ,then meeting Mr Alan Askari for my appointment. What a wonderful, personable, caring and very very professional consultant. He explained and showed me all relevant information concerning my Double Hernia .wow I learnt so much and felt very confident and in control about the whole process. He was so incredibly helpful and answered all my questions he really took the time to explain to me and involve me the details and I was very comfortable in making the correct decision concerning the next steps that are best for me and my condition. I left the appointment very confident and very happy with all the information and knowledge that I needed . It’s wonderful and very important that consultants like Mr Askari are able to be accessible within the NHS to patients I actually felt very honoured (as it felt like I was a private patient)to have been under his care thank you very much I’m very greatful for all the time , knowledge and effort given to me Thank you L&D hospital for the outstanding care.

A totally professional and enlightening experience. Mr Askari had to deal with not only my life threatening sepsis but the subsequent removal of my gallbladder. This operation proved to be far more complicated than expected. I then had to have a large hiatus hernia repair. This again was a very difficult procedure as it had been greatly delayed due to the above. Throughout all this frightening time I was treated with the utmost calm, dignity and kindness.
