The surgeon wasn't expecting me, even though I had confirmed with his secretary many times and had received a confirmation. Luckily a treatment room had been booked but he was very confused and had to perform the operation without being mentally prepared. Of course he did an excellent job, but the feeling for me was of being very rushed.

It was a very positive experience once at the Unit - the staff were great. It would have helped to know in advance, just how limited parking is at the hospital - I had no choice but to park in a restricted area and get a parking fine

There was no signposting to the private patients outpatient Lyndhurst Wing on any of the notices on the walls of the Royal Free Hospital. All other clinics were listed but I had to return to reception to ask which floor level the private patients outpatient department was.

The staff were very friendly and the service excellent at the private patient unit, I was looked after very well.
