Calm, efficient and professional atmosphere in all areas of my experience of Midland Eye. I wholeheartedly recommend the clinic.

Cataract op. performed by Mr Ting and team On arrival nurses prepared me by 3/4 doses of eye drops over 30 minutes with pleasant reassuring chat. When taken in for the op Mr Ting and staff were very calm and chatted to me asking questions , checking and rechecking which eye was to be done. On the table I was given instructions to open my eye and stare at a very bright light which after a minute or two I could do. Op proceeded painlessly with assuring commentary from Mr Ting as to progress. 15-20 minutes later it was all done. Being a bit rickety (at 81 yrs young) staff helped me to sit up , get my bearings and assist me to the Post Op lady to be briefed on my next 4 weeks of care which I dutifully followed. For anyone due for a cataract op NHS at Midland Eye should be their first choice. Many thanks for Mr Ting and his very professional excellent team

I cannot thank the team at Midlands Eye Clinic enough for the outstanding care I received during my cataract surgeries on both eyes. From my very first consultation, everything was explained clearly, and I felt completely at ease. The staff are warm, professional, and genuinely caring, which made the whole process stress-free. The surgery itself was quick and painless, and the results have been life-changing – my vision is now crystal clear, and I didn’t realise just how much I had been missing until now. The aftercare has also been excellent, with regular check-ins and reassurance every step of the way. The only feedback I would give is around the aftercare prescriptions. As a private client, I was mistakenly offered NHS prescription costs, but I feel that any additional medication required for recovery should have been included as part of the private service. Additionally, it would have been better to have my final discharge checks carried out by the surgeon who performed my surgery, as that continuity of care would have given extra reassurance. That being said, my overall experience has been exceptional, and I would highly recommend Midlands Eye Clinic to anyone considering cataract surgery – they truly go above and beyond to deliver first-class care and results.

Excellent care from the moment you walk in, everyone at Midland Eye shows a genuine interest in your health and well being and wants the best outcome for you, no pushy sales, no over promising, just a professional and caring approach from start to finish.

I thought the whole process was very competently done. Staff were extremely pleasant and reassuring. The Dr who carried out the procedure was very nice and explained in detail what the operation entailed throughout. The clinic is very pleasant and clean. The discharge nurse was also very informative and precise as to the steps to follow during the healing process.

All the staff were friendly and reassuring. Any questions I asked were answered fully. As I had a new type of lens I would have liked more information regarding what and when I could expect vision wise after the surgery in comparison to the single vision lens provided by the NHS. I am still not happy with my near/ close vision. I needed treatment before and after surgery for dry eyes and blepharitis and have received excellent care and treatment.

Right Eye cataract surgey in April 2025 followed by post surgery aftercare. referred to Midland Eye Specsavers opticians, vai NHS Choices programme. Excellent service in every way: pre-surgery, surgery itself, post-surgery aftercare: all excellent.
