Dr. Waleed Alomar

Dr. Waleed Alomar is a Specialist in Psychiatry with extensive experience in treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions across different age groups. He completed his basic medical education in Syria and earned his MSc in Psychiatry from Damascus University.

Dr. Alomar's career began as a Resident Physician of Psychiatry at Almouasat and Alasad Damascus University Hospital in Syria. Following this, he served as a Supervisor Psychiatrist at the Syrian Association of Autism and worked as a Specialist in Psychiatry at a private hospital in Homs. His career has included roles at the Kuwait Center for Mental Health (KCMH) in Kuwait State and at Kuwait Hospital and Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah, UAE.

His expertise encompasses adult, child, and old age psychiatry. Dr. Alomar is adept at managing a variety of psychiatric disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders (OCD), PTSD, feeding and eating disorders, and sleep disorders. He also treats children with autism, intellectual disabilities, and ADHD, and is skilled in managing schizophrenia spectrum disorders, neurocognitive disorders like dementia, substance-induced psychiatric disorders, and psychiatric disorders related to other medical conditions.

Dr. Alomar utilises advanced techniques such as Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and participates in multi-disciplinary assessments for patients undergoing bariatric surgery.
